a gloomy January Sunday afternoon...
... and my mind is still on Brutus a little bit... I realize Julius Caesar is just a play, but how amazing is it that the character Brutus loved Caesar as much as he did but could still be talked into pushing that fatal dagger? Where was his higher loyalty?

Love only takes a person so far and isn't always near enough. Selfishness eventually kicks in and all the other flaws come to the surface and become a priority because love gets boring. That's how I see it anyway. Course, I haven't read it in years. Jon, you may now tell me I am completely wrong :-)
