a day for mothers and mavericks

Well, what do you know? -- the laptop works today here in the hospital.  Ronnie started out having a bit of a rough day, but at the moment he's doing relatively okay (with the help of drugs) and we're watching the Dallas Mavericks destroy the L.A. Lakers -- sweeping the Series.  I despise the Lakers (last year's champions), so it's fun watching them get eliminated from this year's NBA playoffs.

Somewhere outside these hospital walls it's Mother's Day and if you are a mother reading this today, I hope you're having a good Mother's Day.  Our mother died 24 years ago, and still there is no way to have a Mother's Day without thinking about her a lot.  If you still have your mom, appreciate her.
